Until like fire a prophet appeared, his words a flaming furnace. You are destined, it is written, in time to come to put an end to wrath before the day of the LORD, To turn back the hearts of parents toward their children, and to re-establish the tribes of Israel. Blessed is the one who shall have seen you before he dies! SIR 48:1 and 10-11
He said in reply, “Elijah will indeed come and restore all things; but I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him but did to him whatever they pleased. MT 17:11-12
Elijah and John the Baptist were prophets like fire. They led the people to believe in God. Can you be a prophet like a fire? Do you have the courage to rebuke others? Open to the action of the Holy Spirit and let Him work in you.
Ask God for a new life in the Holy Spirit. He will always be with you.
Then we will no more withdraw from you; give us new life, and we will call upon your name. PS 80:19
